The Cross County Trail is a 40.5 mile trail located in Fairfax County, Virginia. It is made up of bike path, sidewalk, and dirt single track. More information, including maps, can be found on the CCT page.

I have reached out to the Virginia Happy Trail Running Club and have found the FKT to be inconclusive. There was a race held on the CCT back in early 2000's and much of the CCT has been rerouted since then.

If anyone knows of anyone who has run the entire length, recently, please update. I plan on running the trail this summer in a supported manner.

I would like to set an FKT on this Trail in the next few days/weeks.  I just wanted to mention it and let everyone know.  Thinking of going from South to North in a supported manner.  Will let you know how it goes.  Thank you so much.

I am planning to run an out-n-back of this route in a couple of weeks. It will be a supported run. Any helpful tips are appreciated. If anyone wants to join up for some of the run, that would be cool too. 

The date for this 81(ish) mile effort is June 25, 2020. I also intend to add miles to the end to round the total effort up to 100 miles.

I am considering attempting a supported/unsupported (have not decided yet) FKT on this route this Saturday (21 June 2023)! Probably going from South to North, will let you know how it goes!
