A rail trail with a river crossing. That's a first for me. I started at the north end of the trail at 7:10am. It's fairly straight and flat with a couple of cool bridges. There are some road crossings and I got lucky and didn't have to wait for any cars. Bonus! I did eat a little too much for breakfast and that didn't exactly help. I've made this mistake before and should have learned by now. I did what I could do and was really awaiting the river crossing. Usually when I realize I have to get m feet wet, there's a moment where I pause and dread it. I knew this was coming though and I wanted to get across it fairly fast. It was up to just past waist level. After the river crossing, the trail gets narrow and grassy. I knew the end was not too much further after this and ran the best I could with waterlogged shoes. Made it in 54:21 and took the trail back to my car for a cool down. It was a perfect weather day and another great experience.
