This was a strange day.  I got started at 5:25am.  I ran really well (for me).  That wasn't the story though.  The trail is listed at 15.6km.  I have ran most of this trail before, but hadn't seen the actual end in Cookstown. There are km markings which were going by fast.  I got to the 13km mark and knew I was getting close.  This is when things got weird.  I kept running, and running, and running.  I didn't see a 14km marking.  I knew I had went way too far.  What is going on?  I stopped my tracker and started walking back.  I walked maybe a mile or so and saw the sign for the actual end of the trail.  I blew by it since I thought I still had a ways to go.  It was also kind of in behind a tree off trail.  Oh well.  I did take a picture of the sign for proof.  So my plan was just to submit my time on my tracker, even though I probably ran a mile extra.  No big deal.  I get home and check my tracker on the laptop and see that my tracker didn't pin the last tracking point which would have been way past the end.  The last pin was about a km before the end.  So my tracker had a time of 50 minutes.  I'm assuming that was to the last pin though.  So I'm adding 5 minutes to that time.  It was less probably, but I don't know exactly and I'm trying to do the fair thing.  I can't say exactly how long the trail is, I'm guessing it's shorter than advertised.  Are the km markings right?  I can't say.  I'm just confused.  It's all part of the fkt world though I guess.  Wrong turns etc.  So, I believe I'm doing the fair thing here.  It was still a great day, even though lots of strange things happen.  I guess it's how you deal with it.  And I did my best...
