Decided to go after this fkt for a part of my weekend long run. I started down near the intersection of Hartford Rd and Pine St. I thought doing the road sections early was wise while there was less traffic. My route varied a very small amount from the original route. After finishing the Cheney Rail Trail portion, I went straight on Woodbridge St and then a left on Oakland St before taking a right onto Sheldon Rd. That route might be ever so slightly shorter than left on 83, straight onto N School, and then straight onto Sheldon. But I feel as though both paths are valid.

The Hop River trail portion is such a grind. Nearly 7 miles of steady uphill on dirt. Once you get off the dirt and get onto the East Coast Greenway you much more quickly loose all that elevation you just gained. There are some steep sections where it was a pain to let it all out. Nearly missed a turn about a mile from the finish.

Weather conditions were certainly warm and humid. Drank about 14 ounces of LMNT, and took in 2 packs of Glukos energy gels.

I greatly look forward to attempting to lower this time in cooler weather and now that I know the route!
