FKT: Jason Addy, Steven Song, Tyler Zakkour - Beartooth Mountain - West Ridge Route (BC, Canada) - 2026-10-04

Steven Song booked Tyler Zakkour to peakbag Beartooth Mountain in Tyler's hometown. Tyler kindly invited me along. They came up from Vancouver the day before. We left the dock in town at the Shingle Mill at 4:30am. Tyler's parents boated us to and from the dock and Beartooth Creek, where the route begins. We biked (I eBiked) up to the trailhead at 3km. Then we hiked the often overgrown trail that turns into a route on the upper ridge (some flagging). We scrambled the hard 4th class gully and the upper 4th class sections to the summit. 4 hours to the summit. 9:10 back to the dock. We did not use ropes, but it is 4th class. A slip would be very bad.
