Location
British Columbia, CA
Distance
15.1 km
Vertical Gain
1,870 m
Description

Classic qathet peak. The route includes sections of 4th class climbing to gain the summit. The trail is not perfect and there is some bushwhacking up a steep loose gully.

The trail was started in 1935 for the first (colonial) ascent of Beartooth Mountain by P.R. Lockie. The peak is a very well know peak for this area.

The peak is known by the original people (the Tla'amin Nation) as kwɛyʔməmɩn. They have a flood story relating to the peak. Story and video here.
