Running the entire Illinois and Michigan Canal Trail was a special experience. I had support from family and friends that supplied me with water, Tailwind and food through the run/hike. I had people take turns at different times during the journey to pace me to the finish line. Overall the run was a challenge and a lot of fun. I am looking forward to others in our area accepting the challenge of running the 88.93 mile historic trail.
Jason, how difficult was it getting through the washout by Morris and through the one between Buffalo Rock and Utica? I am considering running this trail later this fall and am wondering if I need to plan potential detours.
