Before my attempt on the Washington Bulgers FKT, I needed a run + scramble confidence boost/final training run (followed by the mixed-gender 50 mile Mckenzie River Trail Out and Back the next day)
But it had been raining so I didn't want to completely trust the 5.7 dihedral pitch with it being wet. So Emily Keddie belayed me on a micro-trax from above for just that pitch (ended up climbing it clean but I guess I am just getting to old to risk soloing on wet rock) thus taking the supported status. So why not wait, and go in unsupported style, This was the key day for a high intensity run-climb before the 50mi long run the next day before starting my taper for the Washington Bulgers effort
I think a rising run+climb athlete like Travis Soares, Nathan Longhurst, or Winston Mueller will come along and take this thing sub-1hr, unsupported very soon!!!
