Such an incredible route!! Wish we lived closer so we could do it more often! It was our first time in Rocky Mountain National Park and this was definitely a fantastic way to see so much of the park and enjoy so many of the peaks- Thatchtop, Powell, McHenry's, Chief's Head, Pagoda, Longs, Storm, and Half Mtn. We ran into a little route finding on Pagoda, but loved the scramble and adventure of it. We followed the official route that follows the Keyhole Ridge between Longs and Storm. It was very airy and we had a few nerves, but it just added to the adventure. The long descent off Storm was tedious and rough after a long day, but the mountainside was full of fresh raspberries to lift our spirits. What a fantastic day!
Our time was not super fast by any means. We took lots of breaks to enjoy the stunning views. But we did complete the entire official route faster than those who did the entire route previously :)
