FKT: Jennifer Allen, Sarah Riordan - Gallatin Crest Trail (MT) - 2020-09-06

We started at the Buffalo Horn Trailhead.  We carried all our food and water (including extra water for the dog - he didn't carry anything for us!).  We resupplied with water  accidentally boast Ramshorn Lake, we detoured near Windy Pass FS cabin to a small creek to fill up on water and a final water refill at Crater Lake.  We got to the shoulder of Hyalite Peak right around sunset.  We hoped the last 7 miles would have gone smoother but we only had one partially working headlamp and more or less had to walk the last two miles in the dark!  But great route and done as a replacement for the RUT being cancelled.
