It was a sunny & gorgeous day that started out around 50 degree and ended closer to 70.
It rained heavily for several days straight leading up to our run, so there was a lot of mud & the river was really high. Carina lost her footing while crossing and almost got swept away in the strong current. Keep to the right and cross over the little island in the middle when crossing. You'll stay safer & drier that if you try to skirt around it.
Navigating: Carina had run the whole trail recently, so she kept us on track, but there are a lot of longish road sections with sparse blazing (in comparison to other CT trails). She had added some extra mileage last time due to this. Definitely keep the map handy and stay vigilant on these sections.
