Jennilyn Eaton and I returned to Zion the other day, November 7, 2014 for another go at the Zion Double Traverse. We started at the Lee Pass trailhead at 5pm and ran our first crossing through the night under the watchful eye of a full moon. We returned the opposite way the next morning with a few friends in two who wanted to do a single crossing.
We set a new FKT of 24:50:06. The upload missed the last mile and a half (on the map, not the actual distance), but that time is accurate, to the second.
We were only crewed 4 times in the entire 100 miles, making much of it self-supported. It was a fun way to do it.
