been eyeing this route since last summer and on a recent camping trip i had the weather and the time to give it a go. with a 3:30pm start I avoided seeing anyone on the ridge. Although the ranger was worried about me i managed to make it back to Roaring brook before dark. having the whole route to myself was such an amazing feeling. no distractions, no on lookers thinking im crazy for how im moving. I hit baxter peak at 1:26 elapsed and realized i was a good 20 mins up here. instead of going all out i kept it moving but with purpose and tried to make it feel as smooth as possible. when i got down to the trees from hamlin i was still up and didnt have to be going all out down chimney pond trail to roaring brook. with that said i think this can go a bit quicker some day.
