He hiked this as an out and back from the southern end (there is no parking right at the northern end). Our intention was to spend a long day on the trail, put up a time that would encourage someone else to go out and do it, and have some fun. The afternoon on the prairie was way hotter than predicted, so there were some slog miles in there. Someone else go do it so we can repeat it in October.
