Stingray obliterates both Hong Kong Trail’s FKT (fastest known time) and the Greenpower race record.
It was a historic day in Hong Kong trail running this morning as Stingray ran the entire 43km Hong Kong Trail in a blistering 3 hours and 26 minutes unsupported.
After nearly 30 years in one of Asia’s oldest Ultra trail races no one has run faster than 3hours 39 minutes. This was already a remarkable time on such a technical trail, and set a decade ago by Will Davies when battling Stone Tsang and Daren Benson to the finish line.

Editor's note: in December 2025, based on a site user's inquiry about the 3:44 elapsed time in the Strava activity, we looking into this record. We found that the GPX file is consistent with the claimed record of 3:26, though we did make a small adjustment from the 3:26:26 Strava segment CR to the 3:26:56 shown on the watch photo, and consistent with GPX trkpt tags in the file. The GPX file contains two trkpt tags 17 minutes after the finish of the trail, which extended the elapsed time. The data prior to those two tags is consistent with a finish time just under 3:27. -NB
