Driving to the trailhead there were firefighters on the overpasses, fire truck lights flashing, flags waving, solid reminders of 9/11. 2020 has been a strange and often difficult year, today had some real moments of peace and positivity. I’m glad to be able to still get outside and run around.
Mt. Garfield ascent- 23:50, starting at the gate (photo), tagging the flag pole at the top and then stopping the watch.
I stayed on top for a while, took in the views, had some time to reflect, looked for wild horses on the way down.
