I ran the Bishop "sky marathon" earlier this summer from North Lake parking area to Pine Creek trail head.
With a few gels and a 500ml soft flask I set off a truly delightful run. The Sierra was experiencing a a little bit of cold snap which made for pleasant 40-50 F temps throughout the day. I was treated to nearly 100% runnable terrain and enjoyed the 2 passes along the way The last few miles are somewhat technical so the downhill finish is a little more taxing than I expected. I'd highly recommend this route.
