FKT: Joshua Cordeira - Ives Trail (CT) - 2020-10-04

What a morning! I’ve been itching to run the Ives trail end to end for a while now. So, it felt great to finally go after it (all 16ish hilly miles with ~3100’ elev.)! It was a cool and foggy start but turned into a beautiful morning. The views of autumn from Bennett’s pond, Pine Mtn and Tarrywile were spectacular! I had most of the trails to myself save for a few hikers and deer. Tripped and fell a couple of times (the leaf drop made for some tricky footing) and took a wrong turn near the end (doh!) but I can’t complain. I had a blast ... and grabbed the FKT! Kudos to the trailblazers before me who motivated me to finally get out and make this happen during this crazy year. Happy trails.
