I had many incredible pacers (Artemis Eyster, Nicholas Chamberlain, Kelsey Smith, Megan Hoffman, and Stephen Sellers) and a full support crew. I was drawn to attempt this route to celebrate living in Durango and encourage myself to lean on the support of good friends. I made some wrong turns and bushwhacked up the drainage to Pautskey in hopes of getting back to Send It… whoops! I don’t think I have any suggestions on the route besides maybe considering connecting Smoke Jumper via Edgemont to save a couple miles. Also I think the off trail climb between Hogs to Perins makes for an incredible finale. Come get this record ladies, and experience the feeling of gratitude of running on the trails of this beautiful place.
