I started at the south terminus heading northbound and had a buddy who supported me-- shoutout to John! He drove and met me at at Highway 20 about 14 miles in to resupply. Then he drove to the northern terminus and biked southbound on the Kettle Crest Trail carrying extra water/snacks to meet me again for another resupply during the last stretch. What we didn't realize was how overgrown and how many down trees would be on that section of the trail, so he had quite a slog on the mountain bike getting to me but was a good sport about it! We ended up meeting at mile 34 for my second and last resupply and then headed for the end of the route where John beat me and had all the snacks waiting for me.
Had such an awesome day out there. Beautiful views along the route, and the weather was perfect with highs in the 70s. I started at 6:30 am and didn't need a headlamp for any of my run. I didn't see many water sources along the route, though it sounds like there are some springs along the way, but maybe have to leave the trail a bit to find them? I carried 1.5 L of water at a time and probably drank about 5 L throughout the day.
