FKT: Julie Wallace - National Trail (AZ) - 2023-01-24

Wow.  What a day!!!! I started my attempt of the National Trail in Arizona today at 8:26 am and finished at 5:26. It was a tough course but I did it.  I was going to start on the West but parking was a little shady so I drove around and started on the east.  The trail is rocky and technical.  I Fell 3 times and nearly fell an additional 2 more times. Luckily I didn't earn a trip to the ER like I had in the past however, the falls shook me up.  I walked a good portion of the spine as I didn't want to fall downhill and find myself making out with a cactus.  I carried 2 liters of water and I had plenty of fuel, enough for a 50 miler just in case.  Although I fell, I am thankful for the beautiful day and a chance to submit this FKT.
