5 years after running a FKT for the London Circle Line it was time to attempt the FKT for another (longer) Tube line - the London Central Line. Unlike the Circle Line which is all in the city centre, the Central Line stretches well beyond (the eastern sections are even in Essex!), offering a wide variety of landscapes and surroundings. Country roads, suburban housing, retail parks and of course the city centre. I ran that last section which includes Oxford Street on a Saturday afternoon pre-Christmas. Rather busy! Otherwise, traffic was heavy throughout. The run included many stops when crossing major roads, waiting for the lights to change. Perhaps doing it on a Sunday would have less traffic and be a better experience.

The run was unsupported. I carried all food (gels and oat bars) and water flasks that I refilled at Woodbridge and Shepherd's Bush stations. There are many water refill stations around town, including at quite a few stations - locations can be found on this map: https://apps.london.gov.uk/water-fountains.

I made a point of taking a picture of each station to document the run and keep memories of it.
