Went to Nesodden to visit family and friends, and had found out about this FKT route a short while before - and I was like; why not try to run back home - instead of taking the boat...? I was let off at the Nesoddentangen ferry dock at around 12:30pm and set out on a quite speedy tempo at around 4min/km the first half of the run. It was a hot day, and the tarmac, the tempo and all the traffic (especially before rounding the Bunnefjorden edge at around 22km and the serpentine roads around there) took its toll on me and my legs. At Hvervenbukta (38km) I started to mix walking with running due to fatigue and pain in one knee. Finally got into Oslo city and touched the Akers brygge dock sign after 03:48:49h (4:40min/km), went for an ice cream and a Coke at a nearby kiosk and took the ferry back to Nesodden. There to pick and cheer me up was my girlfriend Marie and her cousin Agnes - and then back to the family cabin and a sweet dinner and cold beers. All in all - a decent long-run and my first unsupported FKT!
