I've had this one on my list for a while (ever since Ben lowered the FKT in 2021) and finally found a nice day to come back. Weather this time of year is pretty iffy but i had temps in the 48-62 range, dry conditions, and a decent breeze for this run which made it a bit more tolerable. Felt a bit slow on the technical and steep sections but tried to make up for it on the flatter/easier spots, of which there are plenty. It got pretty crowded after the first couple hours, future runners should take that into account.
Ran unsupported with 2L of tailwind and grabbed water a couple times along the way. It's been pretty dry but there is reliable water at least every 5-7 miles.
This was my 3rd time on the route and hopefully someone can lower the time again and compel me to return again, it's a really fun course! (except the last couple miles of downhill on steep/sharp/loose rocks - watch out in those sections!)
