Great day! Been trying to check this off during the calendar winter, and just snuck it in.
Left the once-was Bustop at ~3AM and made it to the Longs Peak TH by ~7AM. That's a hefty ride!
TH to TH in ~8 hours, up in 6ish, down in 2. Was aiming for ~5, but conditions beyond the hard packed trail and up to Chasm View were pretty wild!
Lots of challenging sastrugi, the snowpack base helped. The NF conditions were A+.
Rode back to Boulder by ~4:15PM, arriving at 7PM. Each transition was ~15 minutes.
Looking forward to more fun, big, maybe less snowy days like this !
