FKT: Kate Hale - Longs Peak (CO) - 2020-08-23

Really fun outing! Far superior to doing this in the wintertime (ha!). Jackie Niles threw down a speedy effort just under 12 hours last week, which fired me up to give this a go. Hope she and others fire back! Early start helped me avoid the heat and smoke for at least half the day - but that combo got pretty bad riding back down, especially between Lyons and Boulder. An otherwise smooth outing! Dodging a parade of roped climbers on Cables just before my stomach sort of turned on me. Clocked my transitions - from bike-run: 6:52, run-bike: 8:03. The overall start-finish times should add up. Always room for adjustments and improvements, but pleased with this effort - worked hard for those final 23 seconds!
