Good full day!
Hailie started with me and was thinking about attempting the fkt as well, but decided to bail after thunder. Reina and Skye were an incredible support crew, having hot food waiting at the trailheads was a game changer.
I detoured to the library to try to use the free tools to adjust the seat height on my borrowed bike, but no luck. Fortunately, I managed to track a tool down shortly after thunder, so I didn’t have to bike all the way downtown on tiptoes.
Wildlife counter: 1 bear, 3 porcupines, and 3 terrifying deer with glowing eyes that just stared at me in the darkness.
I got to see the aurora, which was a huge highlight! And it was such a gorgeous day! Also, set a new PR for elevation gain in a single push, which is pretty neat.
