Starting at Bellingen War Memorial at 6:54am. Slightly later than planned but even though it was summer, the forecast was for a relatively overcast day. Pack felt heavy with 5.5L + food + poles. For the first 4.5hrs i felt really average from a morning burrito but once i went to the toilet, i ran much better all the way to the end. Horseshoe Rd was a bit same same at times but loved Kilprotay Road. I refilled 2L from a natural water source at 47km. Robinsons Knob Trail was really slow with lots of steep pinches, grassy and saw 6 snakes in this section. Felt pretty good all the way up the climb to Point Lookout to squeeze in under 10 hours.
Drank 4.5L water + 2L Trail Brew (360g carbs) + 2 x PF 90g, 1 x PF30g (caf), 500ml coke and 7 snake lollies. Total 700g carbs = 70p/h
I wrote a more detailed overview of the route in my downhill FKT run here
