I, Keilynn Alicea, recently completed he first go of a self-supported out and back traverse of the New Jersey (NJ) section of the Appalachian Trail (AT) starting at the Pennsylvania (PA) / NJ border heading northbound to the New York / NJ border, then travelling southbound on the AT and returning to the PA/NJ border.  As a female, self – supported effort, there was no use of crew, no use of pacers, and my supplies were cached in my Jeep which was left at the dirt parking lot along the AT mile 1348.8. The traverse started on Monday, August 24, 2020 at 5:08am and witnessed by John Beck. I reached the NY/NJ border on Tuesday, August 25th at 6:38pm and witnessed by Emily Karwowski. The traverse was completed on August 28th at 1:01am and witnessed by John Beck and Bryan Hopkins. The total trip (fastest known) time was 3 days, 19 hours, 52 minutes, and 40 seconds.
