A great day out along the fantastic Northumberland Coastal Path today
I set off from Cresswell at 6:10am in perfectly overcast conditions, running alone for the first 16 miles to Alnmouth where I met up with my great friend Mark Richardson who once again did an incredible job of crewing for me right through to the finish at Berwick
The route itself has a bit of everything thrown in as you'd expect, including several castles, fishing villages, golf courses, caravan parks, cliff paths, dunes, a few miles on sand and plenty of cows!
The weather behaved all day and despite a couple of minor niggles I was able to keep things moving at a decent pace and with a good push in the final miles was able to sneak in under 10 hours
Massive thanks once again to Mark who gave up his day to help me out (yet again) - he's an absolute legend and put quite simply today wouldn't have been possible without him
