FKT: Kelly Halpin - Gannett Peak (WY) - 2021-08-12

Solo, unsupported effort. Left Jackson WY at 3:30am and made it to Green River TH just before 6am. Left the trailhead for the attempt at 6:06am on 8/12/21. Legs felt a bit heavy from the start. Made it to the river crossing fairly efficiently. River was still high from last week's rain so I opted to cross via the fallen trees downstream. Found a pretty efficient path through the schwack at the base of the canyon and up the scree. Summited around 1:19pm- slower than I wanted but happy to have clear skies. Spent about 5 minutes on the summit then turned around and made my way down the loose scree. Made it to the river at 6:15pm and booked it back to the trailhead to beat the oncoming dark. Made it back to Jackson at 11:45pm.
