I started at the southern end of the route, where there's a very small parking area. This is a nice route for a long run, passing through forest and cow pasture, and it's very well-marked. On this run I encountered shoe-sucking mud, a dog bite, pasture fence gates, and some toenail damage. Not my best effort, but solid pacing. I ended up carrying way too much water, but I would've needed it if it were warmer, especially with some of the unshaded pasture sections. Aside from a few small, stagnant ponds along the way, there doesn't seem to be much water along the route.
