Finally got to running this epic route! Crazy windy day up high but it was the day I had. Still stellar and thankfully not hot. My boyfriend dropped me off at North Lake (just after 8am) and picked me up at South Lake, pretty much right on time as my goal was 8:30, happy to sneak under that by a bit. Was crazy to watch a helicopter circling and trying to land on top of Bishop Pass but could not do so with the wind. I never pushed the effort on the day, just a steady long run effort since this was my longest run in a long time (2 years?!), I didn't want to burn any matches that I wished I had later on. Great route, would love to go for this again now that I know what to expect!
