Did the Mountaineer's Route for the first time a week ago as a recon run, incidentally did get the ascent record by a minute (2:40) and RT record also by a minute (2:14) however I felt like I wasted a lot of time getting off route since this route is so beta intensive! So gave it an actual go this morning and made it up in 2:22 and and RT in 3:52 for major PRs! Ate licorice, no poles, no jacket needed, nice weather sunny with some clouds, and head on a swivel to keep from getting lost!! Great route
