I hiked the Continental Divide Trail NOBO from the Mexican border (Crazy Cook Monument) to the Canadaian border (Waterton Lake). I began my trek April 21, 2024 and completed it September 21, 2024. I took some alternates due to fire closures (Abiqui, Twin Lakes, and Marsh Creek), snow (avalanche warnings in the San Juans), as well as personal preference. The trip was supported as I accepted trail magic and food and drink from friends and family. I hiked with other thru hikers as well as friends and family. I resupplied approximately every 100 miles in trail towns. I relied on water sources along the trail including water caches, cow tanks, streams, and lakes. I tracked my daily distance using my Garmin inreach mini. It malfunctioned two days (August 26 and 27), though I tracked using my Garmin Instinct watch.
