The Grayslake Distance Project claims another one! This time in our old stomping grounds. Grayslake is truly a special running town. Kevin Boyle and I were honored to be joined by former University of Michigan and University of North Carolina stud, D1 All-American, sub-4 miler, and Grayslake Central running legend, Jack Aho.

We started at the northern terminus, which is where the Millennium Trail connects to US Hwy 45. We followed the Millennium Trail through McDonald Woods Forest Preserve, eventually entering Grayslake at Rollins Savannah Forest Preserve. We ran south through Grayslake and through Grayslake's Prairie Crossing neighborhood where we eventually hit Casey Trail. We finished at the southern terminus, which is where Casey Trail ends, intersecting the Des Plaines River Trail.

Only two crosswalks stops (crossing Washington St and crossing E Belvidere Rd). Otherwise it was smooth sailing.

The only essentials we had were the trusty GDP singlets.

Good day. Beautiful route. Incredible friends!
