Began the WGT in Custer Park @ 4:59am. Went out to the northern turn around in Joilet near interstate 80. I finshed in 7hours, 7min and 00 seconds. The route is very flat and open and offered and amazing sunrise over the plaines! My support crew was Devin Lyons he rode a bike alongside handing water and nutrition along the way. My goal was to hold about a 7:55 pace but had hip/hamstring issues slowed me down on the return. Former high school coach Scott Ward mentioned this FKT to me about a month prior so had to give it a try and Todd Lockwood another high school track coach made an appearance to offer moral support about 6 miles from this finish.
