200 Miles Starting in La Crosse Wisconsin just off the Mississippi River running eastbound along the La Crosse River trail, the historic Elroy-Sparta Trail, various county highways and roads, Mascoutin Valley state trail and finally the Old Plank road trail all the way to the shores of Lake Michigan This route is around 85% road and the rest was crushed gravel. This is a point to point course that showcases various public biking/hiking trails throughout the state. Make the most of it by talking with strangers along the various trails. Small towns, Kwik trips and other gas stations can be utilized along the way for food/drinks and fuel stops for crew.
I had friends running with me from mile 112 until the finish. Run went well overall, but that many miles on pavement was brutal on my legs. I had rest stops planned roughly every 12-15 miles so that I wouldn't have to carry a lot of weight. Happy to get this run done in my home state!
