I've been wanting to run this route for a few years and oh man it did not disappoint! Absolutely stunning and such a fun trail! Got worked by the altitude on this one. Forgot what it felt like to be moving for this long at high altitude and am truly humbled. Ran this route unsupported and brought two flasks of water and all my own food with me and filtered multiple times from the various creeks along the trail. Creek crossings were all g2g and refreshing but feet were wet for almost the entire run starting at around mile 6. Accidentally blew past the split for French Canyon and had to back-track about a quarter mile because there's no sign at the split and the trail is a bit tough to spot. The descent from Pine Creek Pass is the techiest section of the route and I rolled my ankles about 6 or 7 times there! All-in-all and as always, another beautiful and epic day out in the Sierra backcountry!
