I didn't see Kari's time from a few days before until the night before I planned on doing this. I had fallen on rollerblades (lol) the day before and my body wasn't feeling awesome, so I almost didn't push for the FKT. I pretty much decided 5 minutes before starting that I would push the up and only push back down if I made it to Clouds Rest in around the same time she did, about 1h20m. I ended up getting up there about a minute faster and then pushed it hard back down. On the way back, someone let me know my car key had fallen out of my running belt (I tripped and fell 2.5mi in), so I spent a few miles a bit panicked knowing I was looking for key somewhere. But they left it somewhere obvious and I was able to focus down those terrible switchbacks.
I did the route entirely alone with my Raide LF 2L belt, a 650ml flask filled with gatorade + 50g Skratch SHC, and brought nothing else because I accidentally left my gels in the driver's seat of car, which was not ideal.
