I love this route! I'd hiked it before and thought it would make for an exciting FKT. I researched Strava segment times and thought it would be fun and challenging to go for it. I had a beautiful, cool Saturday morning with the trail mostly to myself. I had planned to just try for the ascent FKT but I felt pretty good on the downhill and went for the roundtrip one too. The climb is more runnable than I remembered but still a good challenge. The creek at the bottom of the route makes for a good post run ice bath.
