As a way of appeasing my corona disrupted 500 miler in north Scotland I opted to do the north downs way via Canterbury's north route, solo self supported. On 19th June at 4:55am I started at the official starting plaque of the NDW in Farnham. On 21st June at 11:50 I completed the NDW at the finishing plaque on Dover's seafront. Time duration 2 days 6 hours 55 minutes(54 hours 55 minutes). I did this in 3 pushes of 76.16 miles (20:18:05), 44.75 miles (15:12:12), 20.63 miles (7:56:22). As always it was beautiful moving in meditative miles over an ancient pilgrim route. After all isn't every long adventure a blessed opportunity to take pilgrimage back to our soul and the truer version of oneself. If anyone wants the beta to how I did this then get in touch as one of the tricky parts of this route is the lack of available food and water. Thank you for keeping this FKT thing going. A small sense of community and recognition amongst many years of gloriously alone miles. Onward to the next one........
All route information and GPS is on my Strava account as well as my suunto movescount.
