I ran the Crosstown Trail as an out & back, starting and finishing at Candlestick Point.
I followed the directions in the official cue sheet. I’d run the sections before and had the track on my phone for backup, and navigation went smoothly. The section of the Visitacion Valley Greenway between Campbell and Tucker is still closed so I stayed on Rutland for that block. There’s still construction at the Forest Hill MUNI station so I detoured around on Plaza. The trail between Baker Beach and 24th Ave has re-opened, so that part no longer requires going around fences.
I got water at the Lands End Visitor Center, and on the way back at Glen Park Recreation Center.
It was a beautiful day with clear skies. I wouldn’t have minded cooler temperatures, but the views made up for it.
I arrived back at Candlestick Point in 4 hours 56 minutes 12 seconds.
