It was my first time visiting the Cape, so what better way to explore than on foot? I started at the Sagamore Bridge at around 5:30am, with hopes of arriving to the Provincetown Causeway in about 8 hours, enough time for the high tide (12:30pm) to pass. It was a beautiful route, and I was happy with how strong my legs felt. Unfortunately I dealt with some nausea over the last 20 miles and definitely need to reevaluate my nutrition plan going forward. I checked my watch right as I was reaching the lighthouse and saw I was at 8:59... so you bet I sprinted those last few steps on the sand to touch the lighthouse in just under 9 hours!
I'm very grateful for the help of Ashlee and the Chaos Crewing team for their support throughout the day!
I would encourage others to try this route, and I'm happy to answer any questions about it. It's a fun one!
