Chilly but bright morning on the Norwottuck Rail Trail! I started out in the dark with my headlamp and saw half a dozen deer as well as a fox during the early miles. The trail was very quiet throughout the run, and I ran by myself without food or water. I'm in the process of rebuilding my mileage after a lengthy injury, and I thought it would be fun to go for the FKT on this route as a long run. Overall the effort was quite easy and there is definitely tons of room for improvement on this route. It's flat, fast, and overall a very scenic run. Go for it!!
