I have been eyeing this FKT for a while, and decided to go for it while building back fitness after a lengthy injury. Having scouted the route last week, I decided to start at the Ledges Trail, then hit Southwest Ridge, Fire Warden's, and Bald Peak (taking Sue's Way and the North Ridge trails on my way back up). I was way ahead of pace until the North Ridge trail, when I got slightly lost and probably wasted 10 minutes looking for the trail, then taking the wrong trail and having to backtrack! After that, I wasn't sure the FKT would still be in reach. I reached the summit for the final time in 4:02, and knew it would be tight because I am not strong with technical descents. But, thanks to plenty of adrenaline, I was able to descend the Ledges trail faster than expected, and touched the final information board a few minutes under the previous FKT! It was a fun, challenging route, and there is plenty of room for improvement.

I didn't take many pictures, but it was a beautiful day with great views of the White Mountains at the summit and along the ridges (the only photo I remembered to take was of the UnTapped gels I took during the run!) The trail was dry and quiet - I didn't see any hikers until about 2.5 hours into the run. It can get pretty busy here on the weekends, so I'd encourage others to plan accordingly. Overall, highly recommend this route!
