Planning on going after the full out and back FKT on Feb 17 and figured I should see the whole ridgeline before that attempt.
Dropped a bike off at the Carney trailhead around 7:30 then drove over to Lost Dutchman state park. Warmed up over the Siphon draw and hit start at 8:20ish. I'd reconned the flatiron climb the week before and only got off trail once towards the top. The climb flew by and I was up on the ridge in about an hour. It was pretty smooth sailing from there. Relied heavily on my strave route heat maps to stay on course but still got off 3 or 4 times and had to scramble back up on the trail. Nothing crazy but glad I got some optics on the line before doubling it back.
Gorgeous cooler day out there, carried way too much water but better safe than sorry!
