It was a beautiful fall day for this run! Temperatures in the 50s, mostly sunny, and gorgeous coloration on the trees. Running on the boardwalks with slippery leaves made for some slip’n’sliding, but it added to the adventure. I enjoyed the views of South Chickamauga Creek. I had support from my strength trainer, who met me five times with hydration and nutrition. In my vest, I carried a half liter of Tailwind, and depending on the section, Honey Stinger chews, gels, or waffles for nutrition. I had a 100-miler in two weeks, so I pushed for the first half, and laid back just a bit for the second half. This is such a fun route, you should run it!
