Started from the Necklace Valley trailhead heading southbound. The bugs & humidity were absolutely out of control. Lost a chunk of time in a couple sections where I definitely did not pick the path of least resistance (looking at you, boulder field leading down to Williams lake), but overall navigation went off without a hitch. Dutch Miller Gap was long but uneventful. Loved being able to throw in a few faster miles on the last gravel road stretch right before Goldmyer, considering so much of this route is unrunable. Couldn’t find a way across Burntboot creek without knee deep wading and ran out of f@cks so wet shoes it was. The final slog up to Red Pass was a sweaty, humid grind but I didn’t think the trail was nearly as bad as others say (ask me about this again on the following day's return trip when it had rained overnight and all the overgrowth was soaking wet haha). Was still feeling good & stoked to be back in home territory for the run down Commonwealth and back to the PCT parking lot in 11:19 total.
(only other female time I've been able track down for this route is Jessica Kelley's from the UPWC in 2016 of 16:23)
