I had been waiting for the right opportunity to finally do a single day Pemi, and it was the perfect day. Beautiful blue skies, not too much wind, and friendly hikers out and about in the first half. I traveled clockwise, and by late in the day on the Bonds, very few people were out and about. And no sighting of the famed Pemi bear.
I refilled water at Galehead, carrying 3L before and 3L after. I carried all my food and gear the entire time, and was accompanied by no one.
I ran as much as possible, but this time is definitely meant to be lowered. I thought such a significant route deserved an official non-binary time for visibility. I'll definitely be back someday.
